Yours is a false analogy as you've presented fully restored classics and that is NOT the same as a totally stock, albeit, new car.
I don't care if we're talking a brand new $500K McLaren or a $20K Chevy Cruze that was just picked up at the dealer that morning. A totally stock car simply doesn't deserve a win at the average show & shine. Especially when compared to that cherry, fully restored '69 Camaro
YMMV
(flame away...)
But what constitutes fully stock? Mine has tinted windows, would that qualify as no longer stock? What's the tipping point?
Yeh, stock doesn't mean prize winner, no matter how gorgeous the car is!! Ken got LOTS of trophies on his customized C6, so now he is trying to figure out how to customize the C7. But, it is so perfect, there is nothing to do
If the show has classes (like the Corvette shows in the NW) that are C7 then the best stock car is acceptable if no customs.

Custom paint, engine work, suspension work....just to name a few.
My C7 has a catch can, dyed interior stitching, clear bra, painted FRCs and even a custom-installed VHF/UHF dual band transceiver (with custom antenna mount). I don't consider my C7 as being "customized"........yet And certainly don't think it should win a trophy for simply being what it (mostly) was when it left BG.
Again, I am not diminishing the OP's trophy at all - kudos to him for it. I just see it as I see it.....

seeing as I get stopped EVERY SINGLE DAY by people on the street drooling over my base model silver stingray.... I can see how he can win a trophy.... and why not.. for driving a car as pretty as a Stingray, he deserves one!!
Now where is the pic of your 'real,' trophy?? hahaha

I have numerous awards for my custom C6. Do I really need to post the pics?
[QUOTE=Priz23;1587007495]Most of us never understood why a guy's avatar and title for a vette site is focused on political bs (and I am not a BO supporter). But that's just most of us.
The guy also says he "calls it as he sees it" He didn't see anything, he wasn't there! Mind, eyes, like parachute, only function when open.

Nice win and beautiful car.

If my avatar and user info bothers you, I cannot help you. Perhaps you need to grow a pair and some thicker skin as well......

Your original post never said stock NEW car. It just said stock car. All those photos I posted are stock cars.

My bad then for omitting "new". That's what I meant by "stock" - as in "as it left the factory". And as we're talking about a C7 and not a '69 COPO, I made the wrong assumption it was obvious what I was referring to.
