yes, weve communicated before. as you know, what i (and likely many others) would like to see are pics of the different wheels you have, each on a different colored car, including the different finishes/tints. in todays world of computers, this should be quite easy to do, and would be a great marketing tool for you. set it up such that if i want to see a particular wheel model, with a particular finish, for my cg, build your rubric to allow me to input my choice, and bam....it shows on my computer screen. this will also allow you to handle many more questions and requests, without any more work on your part. this is particularly valuable, since there is no place to see your various wheels on a given car--only the internet. just free advice, maybe worth the price, maybe not. pass it on to your management and see what happens. blame me for the idea if its perceived as stupid. SOP.
sorry you missed the point. i was telling him how to use the internet to kill the market, not what to do for me. true, id benefit, but thats a tangential consequence. youll note from his response that he thinks it would be too expensive--which i can not challenge, since i have not done the study he did. but, he did acknowledge the benefit to his franchise, which if you really think about it is irrefutable.
personally, what i would do (since you asked) is try to find someone who could do the programming, and offer him an equity position in my company--a reasonable one, not huge. you wouldnt even have to hire him/her.
