At what point is a vin # generated for your ordered car ?

so "vin # " is Vehicle Identification Number Number

3300 0r 3400 but we do not see until 3800

When it's produced. 3800.

3400 when the stickers etc. with the VIN are printed. Previous to the C7 the dealer could get the VIN then but it seems with the C7 everyone has to wait for 3800.
