Default A Brief C6-C7 Comparison

I know, here comes another comparison, but this one will be brief. I owned my 2012 C6 for about 2 1/2 years and bought my C7 vert about a month ago. Here are some very brief comparisons:

1. Road Manners: My C6 was just a base coupe, but she sure flew! Problem was she was skittish. Take a corner a bit to fast and she would drift in an instant. Get her up into the three digits and she felt WAY to light in the tires. Forced me to be real careful just to maintain control. A little scary at times. The C7 feels positively super glued to to road. Whether it is a tight fast turn, or just a really quick straightaway, my C7 is positively planted on the road, confident, and completely safe. The difference is astounding.

2. The Inside: As you already know, the difference in the interior from the C6 is striking. The interior of this car truly feels like it belongs in Mercedes/Porsche territory. I owned a 2008 Jaguar XK ($95,000.00 new) and it had nothing on this C7. Amazing.

3. The Electronics: I had the NAV upgrade in my C6 and I thought that was cool, until I stepped into my C7. Geez, what an update!!. Now I know some folks have had problems with dim displays and Infotainment systems acting up. Mine so far has been perfect and I am still learning more each day. I can tell the car to text somebody and what to say and off it goes! I can tell her to play me a little Bob Dylan, and here comes "Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again". I tell the car I want Ice Cream & "Bingo", a Choco Chip cone comes out of the console (okay, I was kidding that time).

4. Positive Attention From Others: I can't get out of the gas station without every other driver coming by taking pictures, etc., people leaning out the windows of their cars on the interstate, taking pics & videos, amazing. Now, I know that will fade over time, but I sure am enjoying the attention in the here & now. At least four people have told me my C7 is simply the most beautiful automobile they have ever seen. My neighbor, the classic "little old lady" came by and told me she can hear me start up in the morning. I apologized, and she said, "oh, no, that's okay. I LOVE THAT SOUND!!"

Okay, so my comparison wasn't so short, but the car is everything I ever heard and more. THIS ONE is a keeper....

And that is all I have to say about that...

My C6---

Very nice, I never tire of C7 owners comparing against the C6. It is always good info for those of us who are still waiting.

Now that's a feature I'd pay anything for, but only if it was Chunky Monkey.

Great comparison, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Your C6 is beautiful but the C7 is in another league

There is a lot of C6 in the C7 however the C7 is way more refined. An example; the wheel caps on the C6 are just a decal, the C7 is a raised emblem. The list goes on. There is absolutely nothing I can improve by modding except one; the tire air valve covers just don't go with the high quality car. The C6 at least had metal caps

I'll add a couple other things.
The seats--HUGE improvement.
Had auto trans in both and the change in gears are much smoother in the C7.
Couldn't agree more on #4. It's a monster attention getter. Stop lights or just cruising, a ton of "thumbs up" gestures.
