Default 2015 C7 Ordering

Stopped at one of the local Chevy dealers to see the C7 in person for the first time yesterday. Wow is all can I say. Have owned a lot of Corvettes, last one being a 2010 ZR1, and other sport cars (Porsche, Ferrari, MB, etc.) in my life. The new C7 is a must have!

While talking to the salesman about ordering a '15 C7 he told me that Chevy will not accept orders until probably September because Chevy has extended the '14 production because of demand. Also, he said the '15 model would not be a "Stingray", that the '14 model year will be the only "Stingray".

I think this salesman is full of s*** and is trying to sell his current inventory and the balance of his '14 allocation. Does anyone have the legitimate info about order acceptance of '15 models by Chevy and if the use of the "Stingray" designation will continue? Thx.

If you order now, your ordering into the blind. Prices are not available as yet. If your lucky and 2015 production starts around the middle of August, I would think delivery late September. More like October, just as winter is ramping up.

I heard preliminary pricing would be available in July. Heard various answers as to when orders can be placed and that early deliveries in the Fall except for convertibles (Spring 2015).

he's full of "it". The first day 2015 Corvette orders could be entered into GM's order system was last week (May 29th). Many of us here got our 2015 ordered, with GM order number in hand. Mine is at event code "1100".

Now with that just said... there is no real advantage to having your order entered in this early. It's a long wait until '15 production starts in mid August.

According to the 2015 online order guide it's still referred to as Corvette Stingray... So he's wrong

There is no delay on convertibles. You are likely referring to the spring availibility of the the C7 Z06 convertible, not the Stingray. The C7 Z06 coupe is scheduled for deliveries starting in Dec 2013/Jan 2014 time frame.

The Sales Man is ful of it. I have had my Order number for my 2015 for over a week. 2015 Production will start Aug. 11th pricing for the 2015 is mid July but if you can aford a 14' you can buy a 15'

I would guess the Stingray will be the name plate of all C7 execpt Z06 and possable GrandSport . ZR1 way down the road...

Orders placed on June 29th and production begins on Aug. 11th barring any unforeseen delays. You will need to find a dealer who is in the top 20 in sales to get one in and be assured of delivery. Search the c6 section for top 20 dealers Corvette Ed may have the list don't remember. Or order from one of our fine forum dealers if you don't mind the drive or museum del.
