The more I drive my C7, the more I like Rev match...Does anyone know if there is a way to make the Rev Match default always on when I start the car instead of sometimes forgetting to turn it on.(I did a search but didn't see it so don't yell at me)
Opposite you,i feel it revs too high when shifting down,i didnt feel it was any good for street use.
Maybe it may help on the track and it might be better.

Can't be done with the current firmware.
On a side note, I am glad to hear that "Rev match" isn't a discussion about a dating service for Ministers....
I just picked up my aw stingray coupe recently and thought the same. I put it to rest myself by realizing that maybe there is a good reason why Gm designed the rev match feature to be turned off in default.
1) on a cold start it would be better not to blip the throttle to a high rev while the engine is cold, especially in cold temps.
2) it will have an impact on gas mileage, I had a 2012 370Z NISMO with this feature and saw a noticeable difference in mpg with this feature turned on or off.
3) some folks prefer heel & toe technique
4) Does flipping a paddle once cause too much inconvenience?

I really want to like it, but it makes downshifting to decel nearly impossible, and actually revs too high in my opinion. I want to like it, but it feels like it's getting in the way a bit too much. If I could set it to just enable for upshifts I'd love it. I've heard some folks give it rave reviews after taking the Spring Mountain driver course, something I may do, so we'll see.
As it is, I'm still getting used to the clutch engaging 'so far out' on such a light clutch pedal. Coming from a manual C4 with a heavy clutch pedal, it's a whole different experience for me as far as engaging first gear from a dead stop.
I've done heels toe at spring mountain. I will take rev match all day long on the the track or on the street. I think it is one of the outstanding feature of the c7!
What I have wondered, is it possible to accidentally disengage rev matching in the heat of the moment while trying to steer and shift? I mean, I've accidentally turned on windshield wipers doing this, and the paddle is in the same general area.

Depending on the situation rev match needs to be cycled on or off. Using the engine to slow the car, rev match off. Taking a turn at moderate performance (or more) rev match on, enhances acceleration out of the corner. After taking that corner leave rev match on as you up shift, enables a smooth gear change and increased acceleration. Seems the computer samples various parameters; gear shift/clutch engagement to rev the engine. I am still experimenting to achieve optimum utilization, one thing for sure the rev match feature can't be left on (you don't heel/toe every shift either).
I have rev matched by downshifts for years and do it subconsciously, however I find this system gets it spot on. If you feel it's revving too high, you're probably letting the clutch out too slow. If you shift quickly you'll find it's on the money. This is especially useful in every day driving when skipping several gears such as passing on the highway-7th to 4th.

The only problem I have is that I sometimes downshift into a turn to let the engine slow the car down and with rev match I get into the turn too quick and then have to hit my brakes which can be a bit dicey.

Agree, great feature. There is no way to have it come on automatically (probably a lawyer issue!) I use it all the time and find it is a great match and not over reving as some indicate. At moderate throttle, where heel toeing is more difficult to get a perfect match, it works great, in my opinion. Perhaps if racing when you are near max rpm it is different.
Anyone experiencing a nasty scratching clunk noise underneath the gearbox when downshifing hard into a gear with rev match enabled? I may need to take her in for a check up, im worried my clutch could be damaged.

The Rev Match was design to assist you in engine braking, but I don't believe engine braking should be used to eliminate your brakes. If you are going slow enough, your brakes may not be needed, but if they are, just a little light brake pressure, then make your downshift, execute your turn and power out of the turn.
If you want to really see how well this works you have to experience Spring Mountain.
I've used rev match on & off. Now that I've learned the gearing, I tend to not use it at all. It can be nice for some 3rd to 2nd shifts if you're feeling lazy...most of the time I'm not.
It doesn't over-rev...it just revs for longer than needed if you were doing it yourself. Also, if you're slipping the clutch a little, the RPM's will stay the same as though the speed control was on, though you might normally be expecting it to engine brake....that doesn't happen until you fully let off the clutch pedal. I did this once slowing down behind someone, and not having the car slow down as I would expect when manually downshifting was a little weird.
There's a tiny timing issue with rev match in the C7 MT. It's good, not perfect, and a very slight delay before hitting the gas (up or down) will make the whole thing smoother.
Better than heel-n-toe? If you're someone who's absolutely mastered h-n-t, you'll always prefer it ... because you can do it and that's a macho big deal. If you think it a gigantic pain (even if you can do it ok), rev match is infinitely better. Me, I can do heel-and-toe if I have to ... but I'd rather eat my own liver than do it all day all the time.

Happened...used rev match 5 times only,i dont see it any good for me on the street
