Absolutely nothing but a clean cotton towel dampened with water. These surfaces do not need any type of cleaner/ treatment to keep them looking like new for many, many years. Those who put these chemicals on their interiors are the ones who show the most wear five years down the line.
Respectfully on the "just water" thing....hogwash..,.; a true detailer won't do that....
Here's the problem with the "just water" procedure. Do you take a shower that way or do dishes that way? In usual use, you leave hand oils and other stuff that water can't touch. Use a good delicate cleaner instead of water, it's a better way....and remeber you are cleaning plastic not leather in any vette as the leather is plastic coated.
There is only one way to dry a car FOR ME,..a "waffle weave" towel that is microfiber made for drying. I own about 4....look on the detailing sites for a Cobra Guzzler.....microfibertech.com Aldo has some.....they are bigger, like 2 ft square or so. Wash in washer EVERY time you use them. Drying is when you scratch....bath towels are terrible for this....
Some use blowers but then I can't apply drying sealants which are the coolest deal: dry and seal at the same time. Search duragloss AQUAWAX or Prima hydro.
I have never gotten bad advice from Glen e.....I try to replicate everything he suggests down to tools and equipment and it has given me more time to drive and less time spent cleaning..........which I HATE!!!
51 percent of American's voted for Obama too, so following the masses is not an indication of doing it right.
People buy Bose products too....
