nah, you did good...it's easy if you delve in a bit and watch the vids and prowl the detailing sites....all I do is add an additional step with Meg's ultimate compound first before TPnS....
Glen, thanks so much for your time and advice. Picked up my C7 Wednesday and followed your process on Thursday morming. Car had nothing on it but paint when I picked it up. No protection. The new sponge clay bar worked so easily with the dawn dish detergent. Followed that up with the Blackfire Total Polish and Sealant and the Crystal Seal. This picture isn't the best but believe me....you could shave in this finish. Thanks again Glen, will send some more pictures when time permits.
It torch red looks that good in pics I can't imagine how good it looks in person! I'm going to try glen e's method on my daily driver this weekend.
It IS badass in person. I did our 2011 Equinox also that has only been washed in the auto car washes and NEVER waxed using Glen's method with Meguires ultimate polish and it looks as good ( finish wise) as my Torch Red beauty.
Yeah, the stuff I recc for a new C7 is very, very mild polish, for an older car you need an additional step of a true polish. Meguires Ultimate Compound is among the best to do this, with an orbital. Then you can use the new C7 method products.
