This past Saturday I took my wife to her salon to get her hair cut. The guy who cuts her hair has a salon with his whole family working there, wife, kids, kids kids... Anyway, he's a car guy too, as well as a couple of the others that work there. He had mentioned the last time she was in he wanted to see my new C7, so we decided to drive it that day. We get there, and he asked first thing, if we had driven the Vette? She replied that we had, so he asked to go look at it... First thing out of his mouth as we're approaching the car was, Ah! You drove the "Batmobile" I cringed as I said suuuuure if that's what you want to call it?!?!? I'm sorry I just don't see it! I see a lil Ferrari, a lil Corvette, a lil this and a lil that, but I DON'T see the Batmobile! My car is Laguna Blue.

Reason: To add the car color
Firstly, I don't think there's anything wrong with the idea. . .the batmobile was an iconic "cool car". . .and a term that's become synonymous with a futuristic fast car. . .not to mention, mine personally, in the grey/blk/yellow. . .I think i'd be fine with people calling it the batmobile!
I don't get it either. Out of a kid's mouth, ok, they are innocent. Out of a woman's mouth, ok, she doesn't know any better. Out of a man's mouth (especially a car guy), no, he should be kicked in the groin immediately.
I have black with black wheels and people at work say I drive the Batmobile. I tell them on Halloween I will dress up like Batman and drive around with the top off. Seriously guys have fun with it. I also get called Knight Rider.

Yeah .. is it a black car? Because that was the distinguishing characteristic of the Batmobile .. all black, and sleek. I'd consider it a naïve compliment ..

Mine is Laguna Blue! Looks NOTHING like the Batmobile. I didn't take it as an insult, just don't see the resemblance.

Well that IS a little odd .. But the other commonality between the batmobile and the knight rider car (Kit) was the 'car of the future' theme. Both were thought to represent advanced technology. Maybe that's where it's coming from.

I can appreciate that.., the guy drives an E55 AMG Mercedes...

My wife made the Batmobile comment when I showed her a C7 with black paint and black wheels. I ordered it anyways hoping it will dissuade her from driving it...
The C3 is the only vette that really looks like the Batmobile especially in black. It's the black wheels on the C7 that give it that semi Batmobile look.
I think that i'm going to love the C7, but i'm not gonna lie, if I had a chance at that car and it had the same price and cost of ownership as the Vette, I would have chosen it instead. Every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
