The C7 has no fuel cap, a trend I believe started with the Ford GT. I have no problem fueling the latter but do find I have great difficulty refueling my C7 at some stations. Anyone else have a similar problem or do I have a defect?
At some stations I have to lift the gas nozzle up to prevent it from shutting off prematurely. I blame this on the stupid vapor recovery boots on Dallas-area pumps.
The "Vapor recovery" system (larger bellows style) fuel filler nozzles here in California give many folks fits trying to fill in smaller fuel fill pockets. I've found that if, while pushing the nozzle into the filler neck with my right hand, I "skin back" (yeah kinda like that) the bellows a inch or so, it triggers the sensor allowing the fuel to flow just fine. Yep a PITA, but it works. I don't know if those of you in FL have the same fuel delivery stuff. Been there and pumped gas, just don't remember.

I sometimes have to rotate the nozzle a bit to keep it flowing. Also recently had an overflow- fortunately I was paying attention and got out of the way.
So the experience always puts me on alert at the pump.

It depends each service station is different !! I also use the Paint Saving FuelGuard from www.griotsgarage.com that I saved from my old C 5 vette eventhough it takes some effort to roll it up and stuff it inside the fuel compartment !!!! Wayne Sorry forgot part # 45533

I had the problem once, when I first got the car. Looking back, I think I simply did not select the fuel type first. It was at Costco and I was a little nervous for some reason, maybe too excited? Anyway, I went to another station and all was fine. I went back to Costco later, to the same pump, and never had a problem. However, I do think those nozzles with the coil springs over the dispenser interfere with insertion.

Yep, annoying, happens all the time at multiple stations. At some stations I have to lift the gas nozzle up to prevent it from shutting off prematurely.
I have had some issues and I believe most of the time it is related to the length of exposed nozzle from the spring, too short and not enough of the nozzle will go into the port to go past the second gate inside thus creating back pressure and shutting the pump down.
