Do car ramps work ?

Just trying to raise car, do standard car ramps work ?

The cheap short ones do not. Race Ramps makes some long ones that work on my C6 very well. I have the high ones so you have more room under the car.

Built some long low ramps from wood for my C6 just to get my large jack under the front with a cross brace. Didn't like them as I had to ask my wife to check to be sure one didn't move and that I stayed in the center! Gave them away. If all you're doing is changing oil use two race jacks (Harbor freight, $50 on sale) a pair of jack pads and jack stands for security. Have full deatils on how to do on this PDF I made for a oil change.

My plastic $30 Blitz brand ramps from Autozone work fine; I've driven my friend's C5, my dad's C6, and my C7 up on them.
