Default New C7 record?

well, the facts are in. on my mileage for the last 50 miles (DIC), i showed 14.1 mpg. this is all based on driving around town--small suburb outside philadelphia. i bet you cant beat that one. i have gotten 4.5 and 4.2 seconds, zero to 60, without the summer only super tires, which isnt bad. apparently the old cg horse like to gallop, not trot. and, thats with the top off. if i put it back on it might cut off anther .1 seconds. going on a 150 mile trip tomorrow, so will have a chance to determine highway mileage.

on a sad personal note, my 19 year old son and i are heading down to the shore, separately, and he left yesterday. i asked him if hed like to take the land rover or the C7, and he chose the land rover. hes going to be there alone for 3 days, and, well...... its all ok, hes just not a car guy. BUT, we just got his grades, and his first year of college he got a 5.51 (out of 6)--deans list. interesting side note: i asked him if he planned on a 6.0 next year, and he immediately said no way. i asked why, and he replied: dad, im not willing to put in the extra work required to do that, and sacrifice my sanity and most importantly my social life. i think hes going to do all right!

Your son sounds like a smart kid and if I remember anything about going to the shore, he can fit a lot more beer, babes and beach chairs in a Land Rover than a C7! Plus, it won't draw attention like a new Stingray does from LEO's or seagulls.

I think picking the land rover over the C7 and getting on the Dean's list sure beats picking the C7 and not getting on the dean's list!!!!

Keep him away from this forum while still in school to ensure good grades. (lol)

Congrats. You are proud for good reason. Never heard of a college that graded on a 6 point scale. We are on west coast and all I have heard of are on a 0-4 ( A-F ) range. What college does the 6 pointer?

Even though his taste in cars may be questionable he sounds like a smart kid with a good head in his shoulders. You should be proud of him.

Paul,
youre right, i messed that up. it must have been a 3.5 out of possible 4.0, which i think is how most schools grade. as i recall, 4.0 is all A's. thanks for the correction. ill take all the help i can get at this point. George
