What happened to Lime Rock Green for 2015?
Does any one know why GM dropped Lime Rock green from the 2015 Corvette? Low volume? That's what I wanted. Now GM is bringing back Daytona Sunset Orange that was a one year color back in 2005.

Sad day about the green, although it will make mine a rare sighting.
And it's Daytona Sunrise Orange. Don't know how that is different from set, but I suspect it's lighter. I haven't seen a sample, yet--has anybody?

Holy Crap, they want a lot for those! Granted, it looks like most of those are P.E.s, but still….
eta: the ones deep into the listings are not overpriced.

Yeah I snoozed. I had just put $650 of new rubber on the front of the C6 last August and wanted some of my moneys worth of tire wear. Never thought LRG would be a one year color. The Corvette needed a new color. Shark gray doesn't do it for me. And you are right about the Orange being the exact same but orange is orange unless you put Atomic in it.

Want a really rare color? How about Rainforest Green... Uhhh...
The last green (Dark Bowling Green Metallic) lasted only 2 years, 2000 and 2001, so I expected to see LRG in 2015 then be gone. But I don't worry, I got mine...

It was dropped because only about 3% of all 2014 C7s were ordered in LRG. Can't blame GM for getting rid of a color that almost nobody wants.

Green Corvettes have historically not sold well, but I think they look great.
The LRG really pops in the sun.
Of course, I had an Elkhart Green 72 LT-1. In 1972 Elkhart Green was the #2 color. Go figure?

It appears that there are tons of LRG C7's sitting at smaller dealer lots. I've been doing searches on dealer inventories and these things are all over the place. If you wanted a 2014 LRG, you should find one easily.

The only reason I jumped into a new C7 now was the announcement GM was dropping LRG. I even changed my announced retirement date so I could buy it.
I now have a year to pay it off so I can sail off into retirement.

The BIG Chevy dealership in Charlotte has located a LRG coup almost like the on I would have ordered this Fall but they have to do a dealer trade to get it. Don't know what is involved with that. If it is still avalible by 7-12, I just may own one. Otherwise I'll go Yellow for
2015. Thanks for the info.
