Default First Oil Change

O.K., no big deal. I reached 500 miles on Saturday morning and saw the redline move from 4500 to 6500 - cool! This afternoon I changed the oil and filter on my Z51 coupe. I followed the instructions in the tech thread - very easy. I do this with any new car just to ensure that any microscopic metal shavings or any other impurities are removed from the engine. At the same time I installed jacking pucks that I purchased before I even took delivery of the car and then checked the torque on the wheel lugs. I found a fiew that were not quite up to specifications but nothing concerning. Now I need to check the rear end gear oil and then let her rip. I can already tell that acceleration is going to be very impressive. Next up, lowering the body and adding some Cleartastic paint protection.

Why lower and ruin ground clearance, I scrape occasionally with factory settings. Looks, that is debatable. I'm so glad the clearance is better in the C7, scraping all the time spoils the drive/fun. I only managed full power acceleration once so far in third. (Blending with traffic at on ramp) there is so much power the front lifted slightly from 30 mph.

we have been thru this before...what happens to you is not what happens to everyone...I am fully lowered, have a splitter and have never scraped anything....
