Where's the Stitcher app?
Just picked up my 2014 Corvette a month ago.
I've read that other Chevy cars have had a Stitcher app on MyLink for a while now, where is it on the Corvette? All I see is Pandora.
I've gone through every menu multiple times, looked online for updates - can't even find a place to get updates. It all seems very closed - I would have expected a mylink apps website or something, with info of upcoming apps, and a place to download them to USB, to install in the car.
Am I missing something? Or is the $75k Corvette's mylink system less functional than a $15k Sonic's?
Thanks,
Dan
That said the Spark/Sonic head unit interface is a PITA to use and the sound is not so good (weak amp/speakers and no HD radio). There are no *****/buttons except power, volume up/down arrows, and home. You have to go back the main menu to access anything. One other good feature is all you have to do to activate Siri or Google Voice on your phone is push and hold the steering wheel button. In the Vette you have to tap the microphone button on-screen to get to your phone's VR.
Hopefully as standards improve and the auto companies loose their fear of allowing apps onto the screen we will ne able to get more of them in our cars.
So thanks for letting me know about that. I'll test it out. That said the Spark/Sonic head unit interface is a PITA to use and the sound is not so good (weak amp/speakers and no HD radio). Pandora on the head unit would have been a big impressive feature 5-7 years ago, but now it's pretty pathetic that we can't go to a "mylink" website, and download apps to install.
Make use of the developer community out there - they could have apps ready to connect with mylink in a few days-weeks... instead of months-years when an automaker controls it.
Same exact problem I had with Ford Sync before.
