Having owned convertibles for the last 12 years, I said I would never own a coupe again, but in the end could not/would not give up the ability to track the car. Too bad there aren't roll hoops.
TR 2LT Z51 coupe, 7M, black interior, Nav (didn't want it), PDR, MSRC, silver wheels, red calipers, body colour roof.
Pretty much everything except carbon fibre in interior and leather dash and extra roof and competition seats? I really waffled on the seats but in the end the stock ones seem great. I never got a chance to try the competition seats. I have until COB tomorrow to change my mind.
Interesting item that is included: VV4 Internet connectivity, mobile. I haven't heard of this.
What does 'event code 2000' mean?
I was at a GM Corvette track day a month ago -35-40 cars, all Z51. Three track sessions & great handling car. I sat in one with competition seats. Seat bottom was not much more bolstered than std. seat. Seat backs were more bolstered. Not really the kind of racing seat that you just fall into. I think they would be very comfortable for most average size/weight people.
Also just ordered my 2015 today. Z51 Coupe, 3LT, Mag ride, CF roof, 7M, Shark Gray/Kalahari.
Yes now the wait begins. How many are they building a day?
1100 means the GM server has accepted a dealer order but does not mean anything else until the dealer uses an allocation to move the order along.
Laborsmith
but why is it - that some refuse to accept the fact their dealer lied to them (as to having an allocation)... after sitting at 1100 for months & months ?
Chevrolet has always allocated at least one Corvette per franchise and did not restrict use of that allocation until the C6 came into being even though several hundred dealers have never ordered a Corvette since its inception. I suppose one could say Chevrolet should only accept Corvette orders from dealers who meet the stated requirements to order one, but how can they be sure a dealer will not? Catch 22 anyone?
And as we have seen, some low volume Corvette dealers who do meet the requirements do not get their allocation(s) until late in the production year. Some buyers are committed to a dealer and some are not but is the buyer's choice and I for one do not feel I should question their choice.

Oh, I hear ya. But that's not my gripe - specifically. It's about those being in denial about the dealer fibbing to them; and want to place blame elsewhere than exactly where it rests.

Wow sounds awfully familiar another thing to watch out for are the dealers who failed the corvette test that gm had
Found it :p took a while looking through history and previous pages: Here
“All Phase 1 & 2 Dealers who did not complete the Stingray
Dealer Sales Academy training will be suspended from 2015MY Corvette allocation for 6 months (beginning with first 2015 DOSP Cycle thru December 2014). Corvette allocation will resume after the 6 month suspension only if the Make-Up training has been completed during the 6 month period.”

Salesperson training for the Corvette - includes a trip to Spring Mountain to actually drive the C7 on the track there and actually experience what it can do.
So what is required to use a Corvette allocation? Diagnostic and tools Corvette specific along with at least on service technician trained in their use and new this year: at least one salesperson trained to sell a Corvette.
These are not inexpensive requirements and clearly cost more to meet than using one allocation a year would justify.
