Default Navigation question

My wife and I were playing around with our new C7 navigation system and stumbled upon an option to select a city instead of addresses, POI's, intersections etc. cannot figure it out since and would like to use it for an upcoming trip. Instead of simply entering the final destination, we would like to go city-by-city.

Anyone stumble on this?

I used it once to get to a city about 50 miles away but didn't know the specific address. It kind of deposts you in an arbitrary spot somewhere near the center of the city. Works OK, at least for small towns. Not sure how it works in large cities, I'd hate to put in a city like "Chicago" and be directed into the middle of a gang war, say...

What I am interested in is how to get to that option.

I know nothing about the nav, really, and was able to do it. I think I just typed a city in the place where you would normally type a full address and off it went.

You can say "Destination POI" - "City Center"

If your destination city is far away, start by changing location to search near the desired city, then use "City Center" as your POI.
