Default New member question

I just picked up my new toy, and I haven't had a chance to figure out half of what makes this car tick, but I'm learning more each day. One quick question which I can't seem to find an answer too. The dealer set up the phone/blue tooth, but when it rings, I seem to end the call, rather than answering the phone. Which phone button is for answering, and which is for ending a call. Seems simple enough, but I'm doing something wrong, and I can't find the "answer"...Here's a shot of the new Vette. Thanks.... Bill

Look, every time I drive mine I find out something new. Especially for us guys who didn't have a computer in kindergarten. The blue tooth mode you have to use the steering wheel answer button.

Thanks Mike, but I'm not sure which button. There are 2 top buttons on the rt side of the steering wheel. One on the rt has a phone symbol, with a thin line going thru it. Then the left side on the phone button has another symbol on it. I'm still unclear what do each of these buttons do? Is one for answering, and other for ending a call, or......

I'm sorry - I made a mistake in my earlier reply. The correct answer is...

To answer a call, push the "Push to talk" button on the top left of the right spoke. The icon is supposed to resemble a side profile of a person's head (looking to the left) with words being spoken.

To ignore or end a call, push the icon of the phone receiver with the line going through it.

You'll find complete instructions in your car's Infotainment System manual.

Hope this helps.

I always use the "answer" button on the infotainment screen. Works for me.

Ok, I guess I was pushing the rt side(phone) button, and it was ending the call. I'm use my wifes car, which has a phone symbol button to answer the phone. The Vette is different. Thanks for the help. I'm sure there will be more questions. When I have time to read the book, and watch the videos, I'll know a lot more. This thing sure is a hoot to drive, just gotta figure out the rest of what it can do.

Seriously the best advice is to take the owners manual and infotainment manual and two beers to the car. Keep your foot off the clutch/brake and push the start button, that will get the dash energized,.

Then pop your first beer and go thru everything on the dash and manual.

Do it, otherwise you be chasing crap for 6 months.....

Good advise. I just haven't had the time yet. I just got the car a couple days ago. I was wondering if there was a way to energize the dash, without the engine running/now I know...Thanks!

I agree with you Glen e. But, I must be in the slow reading group because it took me 4 beers!

Took me two Makers Marks on the rocks when I got the car, then it took me two more Makers on the rocks to review it all a couple weeks later as I had not retained it all. I think I might do a six month refresher soon
