My fingers really mess up touch screens. IPhone, iPad and now the Corvette display. I think the nav screen has a protective coating that can be damaged with improper cleaning methods. Currently living with my fingerprints.
Since I don't mind people railing on what I do, I'll go ahead and post that I never wipe my screen because I use a stylus. The one below is the one I bought at WalMart. Not only does it keep me from having to clean my screen, it works better than my finger. I found that I was having to press hard on the display with my finger, but with the stylus this problem is eliminated. I keep it in the cup holder and I never have to fumble around for it. It works every time I touch the screen with it, so multiple attempts to activate a selection on the display is a thing of the past. Let the naysayers begin...but don't knock it until you've actually tried it.
Not to bust your *****, but what do you do when the screen gets dirty? I drive a 2008 Sequoia in which the rear hatch window drops down. I notice that the dash and screen will "attract" dust and some fine dirt. I've been using microfibers on these surfaces with great results. The stylus is a great idea, but I imagine eventually your screen gets dusty when driving with the windows down.

I don't have my vette yet, but for when i get lazy and use touch in my other car, i used this http://media.memoryexpress.com/Image...8/1?Size=Large
It works great and gets in the corners as it's a 90 degree cut corner.

Just use an eye glass cleaning cloth like you can get from any optometrist office. Alternatively, 3M makes a tablet screen cleaning cloth (microfiber) that works very well.
I use Monster Screen Clean that I picked up at Best Buy when I bought a big LCD flat screen TV. It's alcohol & amonia free and comes with a super soft micro-fiber cloth.
I didn't get it specifically for the C-7, but I use it and it works great.
I like the stylus idea too. Unfortunately, I bought a 5 pack awhile back and they are chrome like the grill, maybe I can clack them out or get them in carbon fiber to match the dash.

With my kids riding with me and being 12 and 15 there is no chance of keeping fingers off. The microfiber cloth works well for me.
