Default How many days from Toledo to Mira Loma?

My C7 arrived in Toledo 10 days ago. 2 days ago, it arrived in Archbold, OH, 50 miles west of Toledo, where it sits today. At that snails pace, when can I expect it in Mira Loma?

My car is on the same train. This morning when I checked, the train is scheduled into Mira Loma on the 25th. When I checked Monday this week, the arrival date was estimated to be the 22nd. We are slipping a bit....

How did you you check the rail shipment ? Did your dealer do that for you? Mine left BG via truck this morning.

Wow. Great info. Thanks. When I use the automated system, it only tells me the current location. It does not tell me the projected arrival date into Mira Loma. How did you get that?

Once on a train, get your rail car number from your dealer.
Call CSX 1 800 235 2352
at the prompts, press
1 (location)
3281-8192# (code for ETTX)
902-396## (your rail car number)

Wow good info, I will have to go get my rail car number. For updates on where the train is located and the ETA into Mira Loma I use the Customer Service chat, and ask to be transferred to customer assistance. Customer service can't give you any information, but customer assistance can. Takes about 20 min to get the update while they call CSX....

Thanks. Which dealer are you picking up your Stingray from? I'm picking up mine at Abel Chevrolet in Rio Vista. I tried to buy from Performance but didn't work out.

Connell Chevy in Costa Mesa. Same dealer that took courtesy delivery of my C6 8 years ago. And where I had all my service done. Good folks.

Takes a while, but courtesy delivery is the way to go.

Right. I found Customer Service chat to be pretty much worthless at this point. Didn't realize they could transfer you to Customer Assistance. Thanks.

Ordered mine at Abel Chevy because at the time, they were the only dealer that did not mark up their cars. Good honest people that have been there for more than 77 years.

+1 for Connel Chevy in Costa Mesa. Great service department really. I always had my c6 serviced there and will continue to take my c7. Initially, I wanted them to do the courtesy delivery, but was limited to Crest Chevrolet in San Bernardino.

Why not courtesy delivery to Connell? Why San Bern?

It wasn't a choice. LS would only deliver to crest in Socal because of previous incidents.

Yes, customer service is useless at this point, they don't have shipping information. There is definitely a distinction between customer service and customer assistance.

I found that initiating a customer service chat session works well for train updates, but only if you ask the customer service rep to transfer your chat session to customer assistance. They don't do this automatically every time...sort of depends on how specific your opening question is when you start the chat.

A little longer drive, but you'll probly save money.
Connell wants $1,000 for courtesy delivery.

Good to know. Thanks. I called the 800 # this morning.
All it says is the train left Archbold July 15.

Checked this morning and the train is in Alma, Kansas. No update to the ETA in Mira Loma, so I think we are still looking at 7/25.

Awesome. We're rolling now. Made the switch from Norfolk Southern to Union Pacific. Past the busy Chicago corridor. Looks like we're taking the Southern route.

I wondered whether we were still on schedule for 7/25. Tthanks for posting.

What dealer is yours going to?

My dealer is in Rio Vista. That's a 7 hour drive from where they unload the rail cars.

Not sure if the ETA has changed, the customer assistance rep this morning claimed they didn't have access to ETA info and pointed me back to the dealer. This is strange because the two prior reps I talked to had this information. A little inconsistent for some reason...

May car is inbound for Crest Chevrolet in San Bernardino.
