I ordered a 2015 Z51 yesterday. There was some confusion about the
PDVR being tied to the navigation option. We ( the salesman & I ) agreed at the time to order the PDVR to make sure to get the Nav.
I only wanted the Nav., but since the PDVR is now ordered, do you think I ought let it come.
Will it be fun to play with? Will it add to resale?
Any other considerations? ( Additional cost is not a big problem )
Thanks

I agree with you on the PDR. I really do not need it, but it looks like fun. I wanted the nav as I feel the add on dash or windshield ones make the car look cheap. That is just my opinion.
As far as resale, I believe anyone that has any sort of track or performance desires will want this option on a Z51
GM must think most customers will not purchase the video recorder if a stand alone option. If you want navigation you are now forced to purchase video recorder at a cost of an additional $1,000. WELL!!

If money doesn't matter then it's a moot point?
I don't think you will get much additional resale value, if any at all out of the Nav and PDR. It will be easier to sell your car if anything.
IMHO, It's not worth the $1,800 that GM is charging, I'm really considering dropping the option as a BlackVue camera is better, it just doesn't do the track thing and my Waze app blows the stock nav out of the water.

I would think it will be fun to play with for about a month or so and then it will never get used again. How many home movies will someone want to watch of themselves driving their car
How many people purchased a GoPro that sits in a drawer after the novelty wore off.

The PDR is one of the coolest features you will ever see in a Car... If no other reason but for the WOW Factor get the PDR.
The PDR is one of the reasons I waited for the 2015.
