Default Where is my tiny Corvette?

Apologize if this has been covered before. I not sure how to search for this question. I use to have a tiny Corvette located in the upper right corner of my speedometer but I have tried all of the driving modes and just cannot get it to show up again. I'm getting ready to take my new Stingray Convertible on its first vacation to the beaches north of Myrtle Beach (Ocean Isle) and would like to get this resolved before I get there and start showing it off to family and friends.

Many thanks!!!

Best regards,

Jim

I hope you get this figured out because it sounds like it has the potential to ruin your vacation

If that is your worst problem, then consider yourself lucky...

Personally, I'm bummed because it's not LRG. OnStar has the color right!

Is there a software update for this?

Yes, that's it. Sorry for not responding sooner. On vacation at the beach and other things to look at other than forums.... Hopefully you can help me. It must be tied to one of the driving modes.

Best regards,
Jim

On the right steering wheel controls, toggle to the left to get into the menu's, then switch from the top selection, "Info?" down one to the "perf" selection then go out of the menus. It was driving me nuts to have that "I" there and once in a while it changed to the white vette., magically, then I picked up on it. I realized it showed up whenever I was using the 0-60 function. Wish there was an option to leave it there all the time.

My question is does the color of the image correspond to the color of your car, on mine it's a white vette, as is the NAV screen vette image, The car's and AW coupe, i was hoping GM got it right.
enjoy

I suppose you could set touring as the default screen mode and then switch into and out of sport or track as you wish then you would keep the little Corvette too.

Sadly, it doesn't match your car's color. It really could and should. Viper and Tesla match their displays.

Hope you enjoyed your vacation whilst dealing with this endeavour. But that really is a cool feature to show off. Especially if its color matched.

Thanks to all who responded. I didn't need the Corvette icon to impress everyone at the beach after all. The car stood out all by itself. The most impressive "aw-gee-wiz" was the OnStar RemoteLink App where I was able to start the car from a distance. I was at one of those beach homes where you can drive under the rental house and we had about 20 relatives and friends hanging out in the living room. I then told everyone I was going to remotely start up the car and, when it started up in Sport Mode (with the loud mufflers)the room literally shook. I also met several at the golf courses and found people walking around the car when we finished our round. It was like they had never seen such a nice car. Even met a fellow Corvette owner who owns the Artic White Stingray Coupe and he was impressed with the Convertible too. If you want attention, this new Corvette Stingray will do it! I thought I got a lot of stares and thumbs up with my 'old' 2008 Coupe but the Stingray is a crowd pleaser for sure. But you have to keep it shiny and clean at all times!

On the way down to North Carolina (about 480 miles), I got 28.8 mpg and 28.2 mpg on the return. When I left my house, I had a less than half a tank of gas and the computer told me I could drive 127 miles so I decided to drive to Richmond (about 75 miles away) and get gas there. On the way down, the computer kept increasing the mileage I could drive and I got it up to 154 miles before it decided gas would be needed soon and started decreasing. I was still able to get into the State of North Carolina to get gas. On the return home, I filled up before departing and was able to drive from near the South Carolina border to my home in Northern Virginia w/o stopping for gas.

Thanks to all for their time in getting me the info and for reading this. I checked my icon and it is a white Corvette coupe showing up. I agree with others that it would be nice to have the color and model showing if they are going to display a Corvette icon on your dash display. That should be an easy fix for the computer techs who set the system up.

Best regards,
Jim
