You can wax right away, that's not true anymore with baked paints.

They detail the museum deliveries, right?

Your paint/clear is fully cured when it leaves the factory.

Adams product recommends wash, clay bar and the 3 step waxing, which is what I did, have to say it did a good job sealing my paint, I parked in a garage parking one time and water dripped on my car while at the movies, had hard water spots on it the next day, but they washed right off without any elbow grease.

Mine delivered late April. So far I only used Meguiars's Quick Detailer once - Night Race Blue. Pleased with the results. Takes about 1/2 hour, start to finish.

If you've never detailed and want one 4 hour easy way that about 50 people here have done, read my docs. If you are over 45, your back will thank me, I don't believe in all weekend, or even all day, details.....but lasts at least 4 months...

Museum spray waxes it, it's not as deep a detail as you get doing it yourself but it does look nice and adds a little bit of protection at least.

detail now. Here is what I did day 1, (Jan 2). Repeated the process yesterday - taking my time, 4 hours.

-wash with dawn, dry
-clay bar using detail spray
-check for smoothness with plastic shopping bag - you should feel zero grit, some areas might need a second pass with clay bar
- I chose not to polish - no swirl marks to deal with so no need (others might polish with a non-abrasive polish, I'll save that for the eventuality of needing some minor correction)
-2 coats of Adam's Paint Sealant applied with Porter Cable dual action polisher and lake county pads (black for on, red for off). Allow 1 hour between coats.
-finished with Adams Brilliant Glaze

Note I also have Adam's Americana Wax which is fantastic but here in SoCal it does not last long. I might do it another weekend though. I also use Zaino Grand Finale occasionally after washing. Best high gloss spray finish I've ever used - but it is not a detailing spray so I use Adams detail spray after the wash, then Grand Finale.

Also note you should not layer Adam's Sealant over other products...its designed to be the base coat.

Glen E's docs are worth reading - similar process with much more detail in the detail.
