I notice that when I raise and lower the top on my C7 vert, I hear a pretty fair amount of "creaking, snapping, popping" sounds coming from the mechanism as the top goes up & down...Is anyone else running into this phenomenon?
Well, I am having the oil changed in a week or so, I'll let the dealer check it out then. Anyway, from the lack of response here, I guess maybe my convertible is the only one making snapping and popping noises as the top goes up and down...

I hope you can figure it out.
Do you own a set of lifting pucks? The dealer I just took my C7 to doesn't have a set yet, so I lent them mine, for my service.
Needless to say, we should all have a set that stays in the car. You never know where you might be when the car needs to be lifted. When leaving the car for service, I always leave the pucks on the driver's seat, just to be safe and remind the techs. I never assume they have a set or will use them if not reminded.
I have installed the "leave it in" style. I also have a set of the original style left over from my C6. Luckily my local tire guy is very cognizant of the requirement to use pucks when lifting the Corvette...
