Default 2015 production control numbers

I just went to Chevy.com owners/track orders and they indicated that my production control number was 3000 with a twp of 8/11/14. Exactly what do the control numbers mean. I see some guys have a 1000, 2000, 3000, 3100 and some looking for a 3400. I ordered my 2015, 2lt, velocity yellow coupe on June 13. Do you think that they will actually build my car the first week of production ?

Yes given you have the 08/11/2014 TPW (target production week).

How did you get an event code and TPW from the Chevrolet tracking site ? Did you get those from your dealer.

Naw, they don't actually do anything the first week of production but drink beer and celebrate another year of employment.

When I go to Chevy order tracking, it says Queued for Production, I don't see any of the codes listed. Does a number eventually show up on that page somewhere?

No, that site does not show codes. Best source of the status code on your order is your dealer.

Thanks for the list Rick. That clarifies everything. The way I got my numbers is ...... Chevy.comowners/trackorders and click on the live chat window that appears on the right and tell what you want and they will connect you to (I think it was customer service) and they will tell you your control number and the twp date.

On average, how long are orders on 3000 before moving to 3300?

Or you can ask Chevrolet Customer Service order tracking thread on C7 General discussion Stickey, just give them your order number they will post what stage you are at.

There is too much inconsistency to say average time passed, but generally one goes to 3400 about a week or two after 3300, and again generally, 3400 usually appears about a week before build.

Visited Bardstown with my new C7 after NCM delivery. Nice historical town, worth the stop.

OP, you will LOVE this car!
