Default Negative battery cable removal ???

I've looked at several of Theta's how to posts. In one of them it looks like I can just lift and FOLD the carpet back to gain access.

Is this an acceptable procedure????

I was easy for me to figure it out as apparently the dealer had to get in there before me for some reason and he went ahead and pulled everything back. The only thing I can think of is the car's battery must have died on the showroom floor and he had to jump the car to put it on the carrier to get it shipped to me...

Be careful, dead batts recharged are never the same, a little bit of the batt dies each time you flatten it....

Amen brother, this I know. I have always wondered why dealers don't keep battery tenders on the showroom cars? With all the getting "in & out" by customers and the jockeying around the showrooms they sometimes must do (I used to work in new car dealerships), you know the batteries have to eventually give out. Keeping the cars on tenders just makes sense to me...

BMW dealers have been doing this for 15 years,,at least two tenders on the floor at all times, Ive tripped over them hundreds of times.......

personally if I was taking delivery and found out the batt was dead and recharged, I would not accept the car without a new batt.....you deserve to kill it on your own time, not theirs...LOL
