If there is something vitally important to my survival then dial my number and don't text.

I really don't think that reading a text on a display on a moving car is a great idea either. Even if taking one eyes off the road for only a few seconds. That's my biggest ding about Chevrolet mylink. There's too many menus to navigate through while the car is moving. chryslers Uconnect seemed to be the best one out of the bunch. Everything was 1 or 2 taps away.

I think that what car manufacturers need is for someone to solve the problem of navigating the car settings/infotainment easily without taking ones eyes off the road. Maybe it's a slicker HUD or something or some combination of things.

I've had 2 accidents in the last year, both of which were caused by a distracted driver in the other car. I drive up and down route 91 through Springfield and Hartford every day and every day I see cars swerving all over the road or improperly merging into traffic and presto there is someone fooling around on a phone at highway speeds.

Sorry to jump on a soap box but it's a very sore subject for me. It only takes 1-2 seconds at 65 mph and in an instant someone else life can be ruined.
Well said. I know that does not answer the OP's question, but your comment does interject some sanity into the whole infotainment issue.
