Default Telephone Question

Recently, I have noticed that I no longer hear my cell phone ringing through the speakers in the car when I get an incoming call. The only way I know a call is coming in is that the head's up display will silently alert me to an incoming call, but there is nothing coming through the speakers. Is there some setting I may have accidentally I may have messed with? I used to hear the phone ringing through the speakers with no problem. Help, I have already missed some important calls..

I don't believe there is some setting that you have hit on the car. Also doubt there is one on the phone. It could be just one of those Bluetooth things. Try and remove your connection to the car and then re-add your phone and I bet you will be fine again.

Everytime something weird like that happens to me... seems to always coincide with a cellphone/provider update. These updates will fix three issues I am not experiencing... and cause an additional problem with one function I really use.

Anymore, I turn off all auto-updates on my smartphone.

There are seperate volume levels for audio sources. Radios, media, and A2DP (bluetooth audio streaming) are in one group. The following have seperate volume control each:
Phone conversation, phone ringer, On-Star, built-in phone, built-in phone ringer, voice commands. Some have a three level volume control displayed on the screen. Some are tied to volume **** when in use.

The way to fix your problem is have your wife call you in the car, and while it is ringing raise the volume by the volume **** or steering wheel volume control. Also the volume control on your phone.
