I feel just the opposite. If I were going to tint anything, it would be the clear lenses. I don't mind the red at all.

Does anyone know if the C7 tail light assemblies can be opened using an oven to heat and soften the adhesive between the lenses and bodies?

I know it's common practice to open most other tail light assemblies this way in order to convert the innards to LED or to use spray tint on the insides of the lenses.

Just wondering if the C7 tail light assemblies can be opened using the same method.

Whats the word on the GS Creations tinted covers? They have been in redesign hell forever it seems. The website still shows they are only available for pre-order. Is that correct or are people actively getting them and they just haven't updated the website yet?

And the price has gone from $199 to $279 to $299. It almost seems like they are trying to slow the demand since it takes so long to produce them.

I noticed that. Or, it could be that the redesign is costing them a lot of R&D capital that they need to recoup..

Was going to order the GS creations Tail light black out kit this morning...now the price is 379.99!!!

Holy cow...demand must be amazing or supply is very limited....or capitalism is in full effect ....If the price ever gets back down to 199.99 or even 249.99, I'll be the first in line..but I'll pass for now..

yea 379 is approaching the cost of the Z06 clear lights rapidly. At this point it may make more sense to do those..

$249, $299, $349, absolutely ridiculous when you can get the whole assembly for close to that. but, some of you guys are paying it so why would they change???

They look good on a silver corvette, but that's about it for me. Just my opinion. Plus a lot of work to install them. I FINALLY got my GS covers. They sat on the shelf in my garage for about 2 months before I finally opened the box. Not expecting to like them. Wow was I wrong!! SO worth the wait. While the dark lights look good on my color car, what I love more is the added definition it gives to the tail lights. That to me was worth more than anything and looks so much better than just tinting the factory lights. Plus was amazed at how well the lights shine through them. As other photos in this thread show, can hardly tell the covers are on when when the tail lights are turned on. And they take about 5 minutes to install!!
Hmmm... Nothing "90s" about this methinks.
