Got this from Mirror Tap & Blendmount. Had to share.
Mike,
We have not done this ourselves, but we got an email from a C7 owner who had his GM dealer install a MirrorTap for him. He sent us all sorts of info including wiring schematic and pictures. here is what he sent us. https://picasaweb.google.com/1052224...hevyC7Corvette
Hope that helps.

I won't go bah humbug on this just yet. I do believe there is 12v up there but I'm not sure if the current draw from the RD will keep dropping the circuit.
So. I'll just until there is confirmation that this works. In any event, the connection to the cigarette lighter shows no wires either and wasn't that savage to do.
I already ran mine to Fuse #37 in the trunk. It's totally hidden and works great, but I hope this is an easier route for new owners.
I, like you was sitting here hoping the mirror would get figured out, took Ken's lead and tapped into the front Cigs lighter so that I still retained the use of it... the cable hides itself in the process took me less than 30min.

I did the same thing. Looks great and no sign of wires....
Many threads say no 12 volts. So why now.???????????????????
Until those butt swipes publish the Helms manuals, we are at the mercy of the few who have access to Alldata. IF we EVER get the manuals, we might find the 12v in there and even see the size of the fuse in the circuit.
I heard there was 12v but the RD kept dropping the circuit due to amp draw.

Waiting for the manual as well! We'll see if they make 2014 or if gets postponed again!
I had a circuit breaker trip when tapping into the passenger vanity mirror 12 volt power. Checked and double checked all work with same result. About the same time someone posted when having their cracked mirror replaced they requested the dealer pull out the 12 volt power. Dealer reported when checking with GM was told wires are not tap friendly. Have local auto parts store tell me this is becoming a common issue with new cars in general. Will be interested to see if there are wires that can be taped. Used fuse 37 and ground under dash for my Passport Max.
a little off post , but behind the rear v.m. does any one know what is in
that black box ? . and the opening on it that lines up with the blackout on the top of windshild , that has a notch out of it .

Escort says that the 9500ix draws .56A at full volume, full alert.
.25A at idle

Passport Max comes with 2 amp fuse. I wondered what the peak inrush might be when my tapped vanity mirror tripped a beaker. Since they are using LED lights and small size wires with computer monitoring everything perhaps just detecting changes.
