Default Weathertech Diga Liners

I have these in my new Vette and the one on the left side had the Velcro come unbounded from the mat. Weathertech sent me a new one as they claim the Velcro had to be bonded to the mat and no glue would work. They sent the new ones and this afternoon I pulled them out to have both velcros come off the left side. Has anyone else had this problem?

Weathertech started using the Velcro fasteners about a year ago. They were having problems with the fasteners that gripped the posts on the Cadillac SRX and there may have been other vehicles. Keep a close eye on your mats because if the Velcro comes loose, the mats could bunch up and interfere with your pedals. That could cause serious issues in a 460HP car.

Interesting, causally looking at their photos I thought they used the posts and were shaped with lips that would keep them in place.

Some photo's would help.

Cheers

Weathertech mats are dangerous... Stick to factory or Lloyds mats.

Switch to their floor liners, they protect the carpet much better anyway.

They are the floor liners. They used to be called digaliners but I see now they are diga fit floor liners.

The post was not intended to imply the Weathertech liners are dangerous or defective in any way. They are great liners. If, however, the Velcro comes loose, be sure to give it immediate attention and contact Weathertech. Any mat, especially in the driver foot-well that is not fastened, can fold and interfere with brake, clutch, or accelerator operation. Think back to the Toyota floor mat issue...as with any accessory, pay attention to fit, proper installation, and proper maintenance during use.

Note in the initial post that Weathertech immediately responded to the reported issue. That is good customer service and the way a manufacturer stands behind a quality product.

There isn't much chance of them being a problem but I suppose they could but they are molded to fit the opening and are very stiff so just won't happen.

I have them now on the C7 and before on my C6. They are the best! No complaints.

Size: 97.6 KBMine are great except for the Velcro under the mat. First pair one came off on left side, right fine. They sent me another complete set instead of just the one. Again passenger side is great but this time both Velcro's came off left side. Just got a email from Weathtech asking for a pic which I just sent.
