(crystal red vert owner) It's sort of crystal orange. We all have our preferences.

It'll probably come in close to what the website has. I'm not a fan and am glad that I have torch red now. If it would have come out as a bright orange without the brown hues and maybe even flat and not metallic at all or only a tiny bit sparkly I would have really regretted not waiting for a 15 to snag it. This one isn't ugly by any means but just doesn't scratch the itch for me. I'd much rather have torch red, velocity yellow, or arctic white instead.

I don't think it looks lowered, check the spacing between the fender and top of the wheel, about the same as from the factory.
