Have any of you had your c7 on the dyno for a tune? If so, does it make as much difference in HP as they say when trying to get you to do it? I am being told that it will make between 30 and 60 more HP. Some cars get better than others. Also, does it effect the warranty on the car?

I'm a little confused by your question. Paraphrasing, You ask if any of us have had our car on the dyno and if it makes the 30 to 60 HP additional that they say it will?
Putting your car on a dyno will no nothing to increase your horsepower. A dynamometer is an instrument to measure the power that your car will output at the drive wheels.
I would assume you are asking about a dyno tune which is a method that performance shops will use by measuring your car on a dyno then making adjustments to the calibrations for air and fuel and then returning to the dyno to measure the gains. Tune only can net around 30 but I would say that 60 additional with no other performance parts will be a pipe dream.
You also ask if it will affect your warranty and yes, it will void your powertrain warranty if detected and all Chevrolet dealers will validate your factory calibrations prior to performing warranty work in the affected areas. If found altered, a note will be placed in the GM system effectively blackballs your VIN in their national database.

You are correct in what I am asking. Forgot the Tune part.
I appreciate the info.
Would you recommend this? Seems like low cost HP.

Low cost only if you don't need your warranty and if the tuner you take it to actually knows what they are doing. It is true that GM always leaves some power on the table because they need a tune that is conservative enough to keep the powertrain stable across the warranty term as well as working on keeping fuel economy as high as possible to help contribute to their CAFE requirements.

Excellent response. I had a corsa extreme package put on mind and a custom tune. Since I loaned my car to corsa to design their new system they ran numerous dyno tests with a number of parts on the car. Bottom line... the x pipe picked up 10 HP. The mufflers picked up 1 HP. The custom tune picked up 10 HP. HP is just getting fuel and air in and out of your car quicker. So add an intake or something to push air and fuel in, headers corsa stuff to get it out....... a custom tuner who knows how to balance all this stuff out and HP goes up.
Same with internal engine improvements you need a tuner to adjust it.
My tuner ramps up the HP but does not take it to the edge. To me the edge is dangerous. I understand a tune voids the warranty. I also have been told even if the tuner reflashes the PCM to stock if something happened when the cars rolls into the dealer with say a blown engine, gawd forbid GM can detect the deleted custom tune.
With that being said my tuner "claims" he has great relationships with 2 local dealer who respect his work. I've confirmed that with the service manager. Tuner believes that his buds respect his work enough to not void the warranty...... but I hope I don't have to find this out.
In reality when you think about in most towns there is little opportunity to use additional HP. Too congested. I track my car and enjoy the corsa system so I appreciate the extra HP and 26 is good enough for me. I'm not out there too far.
I really appreciate the input. I am new to all performance upgrades and always like to research from real world experiences. I have a Z06 that I am going to order so I thought a tune would be the most inexpensive mod I could do until I get the Z06. At least for HP
