UNFORTUNATELY...the winter months will soon be upon us...and I'll have to store my C7 in an unheated garage with a car cover. I have heavy thick rubber mats to put under wheels, and an OEM battery trickle charger...Should I fill the gas tank full??..Add a gas additive so gas wont gel...any tips or suggestions from those who face the same dilemma??
I plan on driving my once per week in the winter. I live in the north east and there are usually some breaks in the weather where I can get it out and drive it. I don't plan on letting it sit for months on end until Spring...not gonna happen for me. These cars are made to be driven. If it's always under 40 degrees where you are, get some all season tires and drive it.

Overfill the tires by about 10 psi, change oil, fill gas tank and add additive. Put on battery trickle charger and cover car.
Gas doesn't gel - it might separate some but not significantly in the time frame you are looking at (months but not years). Stabil is good - never hurts. Tires won't flat spot (although some will say they could crack). I'd fill the gas tank - less chance of condensation. Again - it's only August.
First, I agree with Mfserge; drive it occasionally and it won't matter since it's not in long term storage.
Second, there are SOOOO many threads about this in the C6 forum it's silly. Some say to overinflate the tires, some disagree. Some say to park on mats or plywood, some disagree. Some say to change the oil before storage, some say when you take it out.
Other than filling the fuel tank all the way and either disconnecting the battery or using a trickle charger, I don't believe you need to worry about much. It's a car. Sitting for a few months that way, with a cover over it, won't hurt a thing.

With the exception of putting an extra 10 psi in the tires, this is what I do to my car. I'll put a few extra pounds of pressure in the tires, but in reality the tires shouldn't flat spot even if you keep it at the factory recommended level.
For you who live up north - where we have very cold temperatures and no heated garage - you also must consider the Corvette tires which when you read the warnings should not be exposed to very cold temperatures. I will replace the Michelin's and put on other rims with tires able to be exposed to cold temperatures. The originals will be inside where it is warm. Just a thought for those who want good tires next year without cracks like we saw on pictures from Canada and northern US.

I live in sunny Florida. Good weather all year round.
Why don't I just store it for you at my place until spring ?
