As I am sure with most people who like cars, rattles, squeaks and other noises are annoying and often hard to find and eliminate.
My C7 is quiet on the highway but it does have a minor buzz in the right side of the interior when driving on roads with coarse aggregate surfaces.
I checked and where necessary, tightened fasteners around the hatchback. A production line worker must have been a bit careless as a couple of the countersunk headed Torx screws securing the hatch gas rod brackets were a bit maimed.
Most of the buzz is now gone, what remains occurs only on sharp transitions in a road surface.
A nice issue related to that. Went to the local dealer and ordered 4 of the Torx screws so I could replace the 2 or 3 “bad” ones and maybe have a spare or two. Service writer I’ve dealt with on one repair saw me, seemed pleased to see me and asked what I was in for. I told him and he smiled and said to bring the bill to him, he’ll write it off as a repair. Didn’t have to do that but it was nice of him. Don
