Carbon Fiber by nature is stronger than fiberglass/composite material. I would have to say most of the vendors stuff I have seen should hold up fine depending upon the mounting points of course, but nothing is going to hold up to a cone at 60mph My carbon parts are clear coated and very strong, been 200mph at the mile events. Any clear coated part can catch a rock chip though, I always recommend 3M wrapping the splitter area just like I do the front bumper.

where can i get the best price for carbon fiber side skirts and spitter
Bought my LG Motorsports all carbon fiber side skirts from a forum vendor, Southern Car Parts. They have good prices and at the time free shipping, no small cost considering they were very well boxed in wood with excellent padding.
Here are some pics of this SEMA award winning product. It is contoured as some of the pics show. Finish is excellent and matches my carbon fiber roof.
Is anyone making the Z06 style in carbon fiber yet?
Agree Z06 Skirts look nice and are no doubt needed with the wide fenders to make getting out easier. With the standard C7 I wonder if they go in the same amount if they will provide the protection of the rear portion of the side rocker panels, which was my main reason for adding them? Pics are another view of mine and added the Stingray sill plate pic that shows the finish, which matches the roof.
