Dipstick question
Dipstick readings on my 2014 non-Z51 stingray ...
one side of dipstick: full
other side of dipstick: low/add
I got consistent results with vehicle warm and cold. Wiped dipstick each time. Pressed in firmly before removing. How to interpret this?

This question has been around several times. People say use search, I find the search function very user unfriendly.
The solution is to rotate the dipstick 360 degrees before removing it and you have a proper reading. Don

Great idea. Wish I'd thought of that.
I agree. The search function here is not very useful.
Thanks, Don.

The forum search can be a bit frustrating. I sometimes use Google to search for forum entries, usually with good results.
Google for corvetteforum.com:dipstick C7
to see what I mean.

Goole is friendlier because you can search a sub-forum, search for "and/or/not" terms, and because you can see the context in which the hits occur.
Just search on something like:
Site:forums.corvetteforum.com/c7-general-discussion/ dipstick

I learned something once again on the Forum. I don't know about Allah, but the internet is good.

Hadn’t tried that but I’ll bet you’re right. Don

A quick forum search returned the following from C7 General:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/sear...rchid=42406553
The General search is too all inclusive. Always do an Advanced Search
The advanced search is found at the very bottom of the search box as pictured here:
Click on the "Click here for advanced Search"
That will bring up the Advanced Search Screen.
The specific ways to refine your search (at least the most important and easiest way to refine your search) are highlighted below:
If you know who made the post, type in part of their forum name and it will start to populate the rest of the name. If you know it was a thread vs. a post change the drop down menu under the name.
So for this search, I typed in Dipstick and changed to Search Titles Only, I selected only C7 General and unchecked Search in Child Forums:
Here is the result as linked above:

The true level would be half way between the high and low readings.
If you use the high reading, the level is actually a little lower than that.
