Do all the c7's have an outlet in the trunk for a battery tender, even if you didn't order the $100 battery package? And who sells the cheapest battery tender with that plug on the end, instead of just attaching wires to your battery? Thanks

Not the cheapest but a good one is CTEK 3300 which is similar to the one that Chevy sells. You can get it with an adapter to plug into the Vette trunk outlet.

Ditto. The charger option does not come with any settings. Plug it in and that's it. Comes in a fancy bag with the corvette logo. Only has the cigar lighter plug.
CTEK 3300 does has various settings. I put it on the lowest setting - trickle all the time. Also comes with various ways to connect including directly to the battery. Much more universal.
I bought the C7 charger on eBay from Suburban Chevrolet for $93.58, free shipping. It works great. Here is the part number. GENUINE GM ACCESSORY 2014 Corvette Stingray C7 Battery Charger GM# 22969090.
I prefer the original, the real Deltran Battery Tender from a company right here in DeLand Florida, you just need to add their Cigarette lighter adapter and an extension cord and you are all set.

I also use the original Deltran Battery Tender on my vette and my Harley have been about ten years. I have never had any problem with either of them. Very good units.
Does anyone know if the Deltran works on the C7 or if they have an adapter? I'll need one for my C7 when it finally gets delivered.

This is a PDF of what I tried and finaly bought the CTEK 3300: http://netwelding.com/Battery_Issues.pdf
You may have to buy the lighter plug separately, as did I.

No reason why the Deltran battery tender want work. There is an adapter available from Deltran. You can make your own with an existing Deltran cord, just wire a cigarette lighter plug onto it. (Pay attention to proper +/- polarity).

IF you don't want to have the wire hanging out of your trunk, I used the CTEK and hooked it into the engine bay using the C6 magnetic charging system I got from a sponsor on this site.
All I do is click on the magnetic plug and the car is charging. No open doors, windows or trunk decks. If I forget to unhook it, the device falls off the connection as I back out of the garage.

Thank you Larry. I will definitely check this out.

anyone with the chevy charger know what amp/hour chg rate it puts out. & Is it a smart charger that drops down to trickle levels. I just finished making a pigtail chord for the deltran tender plus unit its 1.25 amp/hour. I've had this for my bikes as well for over 8 years still going strong and its used all the time on trickle charge. Great product
