Has anyone used the "Educator Discount" before? Any idea how much that discount is worth (assuming, of course one can find a dealer that will accept it)?

I looked at the site. For my zip code, the discount on Corvette is $0.
I guess teachers aren't supposed to drive Vettes!
But I guess it's OK for retired teachers, 'cause this is my 10th!

You should check again Ed. I just ran a build and price from the educator discount site for Shelton, CT and came up with a supplier price of $53996 to start with down from the base MSRP of $59,155 for a 2LT (including destination charge). A savings of $5,159.00

From what I understand, if you're a current educator you get a discount on the Corvette but there are no extra $ that GM offers(read "rebates") on top of that discount. Go back and read those links more carefully. Same thing with the supplier or credit union discounts which are actually worth more off than the educator discount.

Yep. Pretty much the same amount as the Supplier Discount and the Credit Union Discount - a nice chunk. The problem still remains (for me) - trying to get my local dealer to accept the discount, while not screwing me over by suspending my order until he has an allocation-month without full-price buyers. Requesting a discount from a dealer is a touchy game-play.

Instead of letting this local dealer screw you over, you need to tell him where he can go. You need to dump this dealer NOW or you may never get your Vette. Go with Les Stanford - a major Corvette dealer, forum supporting dealer and accepting discounts.

Not to that point, yet. Will try to work with my local dealer if I can. Just anticipating some of the problems others on the forum have expressed having been granted a discount and then finding out later that their order wasn't placed but was put on the back burner. To me, that is a really petty and punitive stunt. A dealer should just decline granting the discount rather than string a customer along.
The one big thing about this discount VS regular supplier is that it looks like you CAN us you GM Points card with it?
OK. Now explain what a GM Points card is. How do you earn 'em? Gawd! If I could get even one of those discounts (Education or Credit Union) I'd be tickled pink! Don't think I'd push for any more....

GM Card is a rewards credit card. Redemptions are usually capped off at $3,000 per car.
Find a forum dealership that will take it and order your car from them!
I used it 2 weeks ago on a 2014 black/red z51 vert at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Atlanta. My msrp was $77,930, and got the car at $70,230.
As of 2 weeks ago they would honor this discount on convertibles, but not z51 coupes.
My wife is a teacher. You need pay stubs, and teacher ID. They enter the info into GM sysytem and it spits out a confirmation for the dealer. Easy and painless.
