Default Terrible Members!!!

I had posted that I got my order # for my 2015 Z06 with a Z07 package and was asking others what their numbers were and some of the info that I had been given so we could discuss like civilized adults. (not even the whole # just what the end 2 or 3)

I was immediately attacked by "Senior" members on this forum. I was called names, told I was an idiot, moron, douchebag, troll and I needed to do my "homework" and was given unfounded vicious attacks. I never claimed I knew everything, I never boasted that I was going to get my vette first, never called anyone names, I wanted to converse with others to learn from them, and possibly help with the info I had.

I am still reeling in shock and amazement from the immediate attacks!! I never told anyone that they were wrong and I was right - but I was made to feel like I had said something wrong.

After going through my posts I did realize that maybe people hadn't read it all or that possibly they misconstrued something because they don't have a full grasp of the English language and the only way they can respond is by name calling. The verbal attacks from members of this forum reminded me of the movie Deliverance - they just attacked instead of communicating because someone is an outsider or talks funny to them.

I did do my "homework", and I did get info from actual reliable sources, not just some person's OPINION on the subject or because they ordered a C4 a million years ago and that's how it went that time so it will always be that way.

According to the COREVETTE MUSEUM the LT4 engine is being built at the KY plant and I actually did do the research and found out that in 2012 GM started to build the $131 million engine addition to the plant to make the LT4 and in 2013 hired employees to start learning how to build the LT4 by practicing on the LS7 Camaro Z28.
http://www.torquenews.com/106/2015-c...y-and-new-york
http://www.corvettemuseum.org/specs/2015/index.shtml

AUTOTREND magazine has said they expect delivery of the 2015 Z06's to dealerships 4th Quarter 2014 because the build will pretty much be all in house. (paraphrasing here)

World News has also said the same thing 4th Quarter for deliver - and that the Z07 will be the first package on the production line.

GM VP Michael P. Millikin, expects production to begin Nov. or sooner

I do also know how to do proper research and not just quote Billy Bob's opinion post from 2013 and claim that it is Gospel! All of the info I just posted here is from reliable, accurate sources and also quoted with in the past 30 days!! (that's how you do homework boys)

I did all of this research because my boss asked me to and I do extensive, reliable research for him and always have for the past 15 years. He is a Corvette man through and through, his father had them, and he has had them his whole life, he does also know people in the industry. He directed me to post in this forum - he was completely disgusted with your replies but this last post is all me!

This is a pretty pathetic forum and I've been on a lot of them for a lot of years (70K+ posts). Your observations are correct with the exception of a few who make worthwhile contributions. . I suspect I'll be out of here soon if it wasn't for the "Train Wreck" syndrome...You can't quite not look, even though you know the results will be a disaster.....Pretty much every post ends this way.

I missed your thread, but I'm sorry to hear about that happening. Not surprised, just sorry to hear it.

And now this thread is re-opened... Maybe the mods should pay attention here...

And Steven Bell...Is this a new policy?

"Lotus, Ibleedgreen-both of you need to calm down. There is NO place on CorvetteForum.com for name calling and personal jabs."

because there certainly doesn't seem to be much enforcement here...

I trust this is the thread you are referring to:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...er-number.html

It looks to me like you came out swinging pretty hard once someone challenged your information. The thread then headed downhill pretty quickly.

The replies you noted in your second paragraph of this post only happened when you told the member to "quit dreaming and shut the hell up". While I concur that the language in that members reply was uncalled for you can't have it both ways.

The only point I'm trying to make is you weren't without contribution in that thread taking a turn for the worse.

To anyone interested, go read the only other two threads she's started and you'll soon understand this one. You'll also get a good 20 minutes of awesome entertainment.. because thats all it is. I encourage everyone to get the other half of the story in this instance, because you may easily get the wrong idea of whats going on here by only reading the above post.

That is all

Oh I completely agree, and I see the same thing everyday and assumed this member had merit.. but after a little reading, the truth comes out. If you have time to waste, it's a decent read.

It's too bad because there is so much good info hidden between the personal attacks and opinions around here. IMO, this thread should be closed or moved to off topic as it honestly has nothing to do with corvettes or the c7.

Beautiful car, Mod. Exactly how I would order.

I found it - sorry, I did type that after being attacked on another thread but again, this person is saying my post is stupid, and I have no clue and trolling - as you can see I do have a clue and did my homework!! Funny how other forums are much nicer and have intelligent people on them!

Nicole, welcome to the Corvette forum, where everyone is right and there is nothing that can be faulted in their posts. It is unfortunate that there are so many who are so rude and that there is the veil of the internet to hide behind. Those who want information often are attacked by those who are the least informed. Perhaps your post would have gotten better results if you had posted on the Z06 sub forum. There you would be dealing with people more like your boss, those who have ordered ( pre-ordered) a Z06 and would be more knowledgeable to answer your question. Remember this is the C7 general forum, not a Z06 specific group. I would suggest that the information you want should be asked by your boss, let him deal with the sniveling drivel of crass comments that will flood every post. Best of luck to you and don't take anything on this forum personal.
Oh, and be careful about how you reply to another's post. It is not looked upon favorably to return as you got, just be bigger than they are.

Yes it happened to us all.. Don't worry about what people say to you and block their comments so you don't have to see their dialogue anymore. The old saying "every dog has it's day" and I believe it will come back on those type of people that abuse, misuse and give other people nothing but misery. Also, not an excuse but sometimes I think people respond a certain way because none of us knows what is going on in a persons life at that particular moment. Pray for those who attack or hurt you on this forum ( or elsewhere) because we all need it IMO.

Obviously you are one of the members of this forum that does not have a full grasp of the English language....if you read the whole thing and understood - they wouldn't go "read the other two threads HE'S started" because I am not a HE......again, read, read the whole thing, then comment!

Good Post!

When you have a website where people can post anonymously, you get the type of comments that can offend some people. So we should expect comments of all types on this forum. That’s where we are in today’s world.

Some websites have decided to have people post comments using accounts such as Facebook where it is more difficult to post anonymously. That seems to help and reduce that number of people that show little respect for others. Sort of like the days before the internet and they had to tell you face to face realizing the consequences.

There are some great people on this forum and this board provide some valuable services which I truly appreciate.

Just remember to Search before posting. :>)
