Default RPI ship time

If you have ordered skirts or other parts from rpi how long did it take to ship?
I put in my order on August 25th for a set of stage one side skirts and now thinking after no response I may want to cancel my order and go with the z06 style skirts from another manufacture (ACS) who has them instock but at a price $300 more.

Any advise would be helpful

*********************update************* **************

I was less concerned with the ship time (i was aware that it may take 2-4 weeks) I had just changed my mind on the style and if they had not shipped I wanted to make a change and cancel. To my suprise Josh called me up this morning and said they are making Z06 style skirts and at the same price as my previous order.....I am willing to wait for them and I have kept my order with RPI Great job thanks!

Did you receive an email confirming your order was placed with an order number? I received an email from Josh Greenawalt/RPI the same day I ordered a different item than you and that was on 9/2/2014. But no tracking number so I assume it hasn't shipped.

i ordered on the RPI website as well, then there was a follow up email to confirm along with the order Number. I guess it's time for you to give them a phone call to determine what's up.

Edit: Response is to Post #5

I placed an order with RPI during the last week of July. I contacted them on 8/20 when I did not hear from them regarding my order. Got a return email saying I would have them by the end of the week. On 8/27 I contacted them again asking where my order was only for them to tell me they could not locate my order. However, it was never a problem when I was billed and successfully submitted by PayPal. We parted friends with them crediting my PayPal account and I promising not to contact them again. By the way, I have two saved emails from RPI sent to me but meant for someone else. Time for a vacation.

They have a disclaimer on the top of their website that states that they are behind. Custom and painted small parts are 2-3 weeks out and larger custom parts are 3-4 weeks out from shipping.

I have an order in as well. Lloyds mats and painted splash gaurds.

Patiently waiting.

This. Although my CC has been charged the full amount of the order... Some people may Bitch about that. No sweat for me, I just want my stuff, and I want it done right. I can wait, Rome wasn't built in a day.

I understand but after seeing the zo6 style ones I think that's the style for me, and it's not about money as the ACS ones are 300 more

We answer our phones all day Monday thru Friday. Don and Grace are talking all day long. Preprinted splitters, spoilers and skirts typically take 3 weeks to ship.

Unpainted parts ship the same day most times if ordered before noon EST.

Call us tomorrow after 9am EST if you'd like to know when your order is shipping. 888.257.8515 ext3.

Thank you

everyone has their policy....some charge upfront, some charge when they ship.

I make it a habit to know before I order.

Make no mistake I am not here to weigh in on vendor practices etc I am simply posting based on my experience with multiple threads just like this one concerning RPI and others.

Pretty sure Josh would ship next day if he could....

FWIW I emailed Josh a link to this thread so maybe he will jump in with an answer on expected ship times.

The law states that a company is not suppose to charge the CC until the product ships. A lot of companies don't know this or choose to ignore it.

Similar experience with an order placed early in July. Was about to cancel after 4 weeks waiting before I even checked on the order via email. Must have been a Paypal glitch as I was charged, given an order number but they had no record of it. Grace was prompt about responding to my email and got my splash guards out within a few days and saved my order and saved me as a future customer. I realize custom painted parts take time, and I wasn't rushing them by any means, but I am glad I inquired at the 4 week mark otherwise, who knows?

To the OP, give them a chance to make it right is all I can say about this situation as I can relate.
