Default So is this correct?

I went to chat with GM customer service and received this response from agent. Is this correct and if so, have I miss understood the order process?
System [5:48 PM]: Agent Stacy enters the call
System [5:48 PM]: Agent Brian left the call
Stacy [5:48 PM]: Thank you for contacting GM Customer Assistance. Your vehicle order is still at 1100.
Fernando [5:50 PM]: Is it GM that needs to do something at this point or is GM waiting for the dealer to advance the order?
Stacy [5:50 PM]: The order will normally remain in the order bank until General Motors schedules the next batch of orders for production.
Fernando [5:51 PM]: So just to clarify, the dealer and customer waits for GM to advance the order?
Stacy [5:51 PM]: That is correct.
Fernando [5:52 PM]: Wow, what needs to happen for this to happen?
Stacy [5:53 PM]: Unfortunately as I stated, GM schedules the orders for production. There is nothing that can be done at customer service or on the dealership end.
Fernando [5:54 PM]: Great, thank you for clarification. Bad information on the forum about status 1100. They stated vehicle will stay at 1100 until dealer has allocation.
Stacy [5:55 PM]: I unfortunately am not able to confirm that information, nor do I know what the allocation is for dealerships. You are more than welcome to continue to check back.
Fernando [5:56 PM]: Thanks, have a great night.
Stacy [5:56 PM]: Thank you. You as well. Thank you for chatting in.
System [5:56 PM]: You have been disconnected from the chat session. If you require further assistance, please start another chat session.

I'm not sure what the question is? Your car is at 1100 and it is because Your dealer does not have an allocation to place an order. Allocations happen based on the number of Corvettes sold the previous year in most cases.

If you are working with a small dealer, they may only get 1 or 2 or 4 Corvettes a year meaning about once per quarter, they can enter an order.

Your dealer will know how many allocations they have and moreover, when those allocations are expected to make it to the order cycle.

Without and allocation, GM will never not accept an order from them to begin the scheduling process for your car.

Customer service has confirmed exactly what you should have been told here on the forum and frankly, what your dealer should know or be able to find out.

you'd have to show me where the forum is wrong....why are you not asking your dealer this?...the chat function will not tell you much....your dealer knows EXACTLY where you stand - ask the sales manager, not your sales guy....if oyu are at 1100, the dealer has not matched your order with what he's getting...

in summation: you are out front of the stadium trying to find a scalper, you don't have a ticket yet...
