Having fun hating?

Oh and yeah...had mine up to 260/270 @ Autobann today couple of times. Guess what? It actually stayed together LOL. I guess I should call the local Opel folks and tell them my car didnt blow up as it was supposed to happen?

C7 forum mentality. Has been since day one. They think they found the holy grail when in fact they have a chevy just like the rest of the forum. Most obnoxious part of the forum bar none.

I read that down force is really noticeable at high speeds. Did you notice anything as you approached 150?

Only 3K miles, first oil change Saturday, all if excellent, everything I wanted in a Corvette, very happy with it. Wife and I enjoy cruising in the open air, especially this time of year. Great Car.....only LOVE from here.

For the record, I think this forum should be used to post both the good and the bad of any subject relative to the C7. Everybody has the choice to love or hate the car they bought. In the past I bought cars that I thought were great and turned into cars I hated, but I did something about it. That to me is where the line is drawn, if you come here just to complain and do nothing about it, well keep it to yourself. If you write about a problem, please write about a solution or the attempt you are making to resolve the problem. Without a doubt if you only write complaining you will attract many others who will join you for the sake of bashing a product or item, simply because its easier to do.

Telling about a problem and how you are going about to resolve the problem is helpful, bashing the product for the sake of hate, not cool.

Yes. It felt better glued down, more stable..less lift if U kno what I mean. Its that down force that gives it better slalom numbers as well... the way the air comes in the front and exits the hood and side grilles, while at the same time the aero of the design almost lathers the car in air over it's front curves and shoulders. Both the Stingray and Z28 have this going for them... hence both vehicles are able to sustain 1.11 g and 1.08 g respectively. Chevy did a wonder on these vehicles.. and they are not even the end scenario.

red2012: You really have no clue what were talking about do you. Nobody is talking about what enhancements were done to Grand Sports to make them faster. Were talking ABOUT THE LACK OF workmanship at GM or possible engine trouble of the C7 or do you not understand what this thread is about.
I'm not talking about "enhancements" at all. I'm talking about your obvious ignorance. Who made you an expert on the quality of the C7's ?? Are you an expert on the workmanship between a C5, a C6 and a C7 ?? Have you owned, driven and raced all three? The reason this thread was started was because there are many of us tired of the haters who delite in other's mis-fortune and to show there are way more people really pleased with their new Stingrays. Why don't you just crawl back under the bridge you came from. You don't own a C7 so shut up !

I think you have it wrong. Its like healthy people opposed to those that have developed something wrong. The ones with a sickness look for a cure and envy (not hate) the rest who are OK.

however the people who are OK can not ignore the few who are getting sick. A few sick is OK but what happens if it turns into an epidemic?

Thats why you monitor things that go wrong and create solutions to prevent it from reoccurring. So it sounds like you want to go to the nearest hospital and tell the few that are hurting that you are in perfect health?
The C7 owners who actually have problems deserve better.

Can absolutely care less about a couple engine failures out of 38k cars.

Also....
A6 in C7 is vastly better than the one on the C6.

C7 is an Excellent Quality car from a fit and finish perspective. HUGE improvement over C6

A6 paddle shifting is swift and not sluggish at all.

Little to no orange peel on my TR!!! Shines like new pair of patent leather shoes!

Love the car. Every time a troll like Gadfly posts a bunch of BS about the C7 I love my car even more. The more this type of jealousy is expressed the more I know I have car others like him want but can't have.

17,800 trouble free miles #1362. So many funny responses to this car and it still makes me smile when I see a little kid crane his neck to look out the back seat window and I laughed like crazy when a 20 something girl pulled up next to me....she fist pumped and mouthed "bad *** car, bad *** car!" as she was exiting the highway.

For those whiners who complain about every little thing... Most of us just don't give a **** and have learned to ignore you.

As for blown motors when "racing" and not getting warranty coverage... It amazes me that anyone thinks the manufacturer will give them a " no fault guarantee" under those conditions. I've always found that most manufacturers (GM included) are pretty reasonable and fair dealing with claims under those kinds of situations. If you think a failed Corvette engine is pricey, try blowing a brand new "offshore" motor with less than 4 hours on it. The motor can be worth more than your entire Vette... Bottom line is: **** happens... That's racing.

If you can't afford to pay the price then you shouldn't be playing... If you're not willing to be responsible you shouldn't be racing... If you don't like the way you've been treated then go somewhere else. Big boy cars... Big boy rules. Suck it up!

Please take you own advice junior... A little less sniveling goes a long way .
