I have a set of AlloyGators on order and am waiting on delivery. Did you install them yourself? Any issues or advice?
I did install them myself - pretty easy actually. Helps to have an air compressor for reinflating tires. Jack the corner up to do a wheel. Let air out of tire. Install metal clips on each Alloy Gator piece. Start on rim - use a rubber mallet and don't be afraid to whack it HARD! Make sure install is even all around the tire - check the gap between the piece and the rim and look for uniform placement. Reinflate tire. Once you get it started on the wheel just chase it around with the rubber mallet. Again - do not be afraid to hit it hard - use a rubber mallet.

The Alloygator install video shows a piece going over the point where the two ends meet. Is that still used? I don't see it on yours but maybe that's good. It seemed pretty visible in the video.
Found Alloy Gators on EBay for $165 with free shipping out of NY. Sound about right?
Order them directly from the website in England and it and they cost around $115 - $120 (which includes shipping to the US), depending on the exchange rate.

It is still used and is pretty innocuous. I like the product!
1kulc7 - do yours have a seam like the AlloyGators do? Love the look from a distance but not liking the big seam that's visible on the AGs. Can you show a close up of the seam area?

Thx, looks great!

Mine are not Alleygators, i ordered them from a forum vendor about three months ago, and paid far less then what the Alleygators cost.
I removed each wheel, washed with wheel cleaner, and dried them. I cleaned the band around the wheel the gutter material adheres to with alcohol, and dried with fresh micro cloth each time. Installed the gutter bands and marked with pencil and cut with sharp set of cutters. They adhere to the wheel, then you snap in the color your ordered in this case red. They come in many colors but do not come in Crystal Red, ashame because I have a Crystal Red Camaro.
The provide a small plastic tool that allow you to have uniform spacing from the each of the wheel to the edge of the tire. Took about an hour each wheel, but I did not rush, took my time and tried to be as precise as I could, not perfect but I am very happy with the results. If I can find the vendor I will post, but it is a Forum Vendor..... It's Southern, they were great, fast delivery.
I like the look, I almost added these to mine (when I had black wheels). Gives definition to an otherwise black hole. However, I prefer the red lines that are machined into the wheel, as on a ZR1, rather than the plastic JC Whitney look. I thought the 2015 wheel options included a redline black wheel.
Well decided to put them on the car, very reluctant, but thought I would try them out, and I like them...Here are a few photos I just took. Think they look decent.
Thanks for looking, not all are going to like, but what matters is I do...Cheers
