Default High School Parade

Been asked to put my 2014 in a High School parade. Will need to put a paper sign on both doors. What is the best way to do that without damaging the paint. Magnets or tape? Other? Thanks, George

Tape is about your only choice - magnets won't be too successful.

Magnets won't work. Car is not made of metal. I have used blue painters tape. Should be ok as long the sign is not to heavy.

Just have your side windows up about one inch and tape the sign to the glass. Works good unless wind is a problem.

Green painter's tape. It is for a car finish.

When I do parades, they supply a plastic "cling" type of signage. I would imagine it is expensive to do that and a HS would elect to use paper.

If you have a good polymer based sealant on your car, painters tape may not stick. I speak from experience.

Done dozens of parades. We use the clear 3M tape you buy for sealing boxes. If you are careful not really hard to take off afterwards. It also will hold the sign on if the wind is blowing. It does not hurt the painted surfaces of a corvette.

I have wrapped some felt cloth (can match colors) around my doors and either taped the cardboard sign to the felt or used ribbon over the felt to tie the cardboard. This gives a soft protection to your doors.

I just did my first parade last week and the signs were made of poster board. We used a hole punch to punch a hole in each corner then used small suction cups with hooks on them in each corner of the sign. Worked great and no scratches or tape to remove.
