Do yall know the fix for my screen looking like this at start up? Everything else seems to be working ok with it except for the white rising moon across the bottom of the screen!
I never noticed that on mine. Do you have anything stored behind the screen?
Other than that, aren't you loving it Liz?
Yes, love love love!
I need to have the idle checked, though. I've never had to sit in stop and go traffic before and last weekend, I did. I thought she was going to die every time before I was able to move forward again.
Oh, and she doesn't understand a single thing I say!!! I end up hollering, "That is NOT what I said!!!" And I'm pretty sure I curse. Yes, I curse at my car. I cannot even make her understand "Call Kevin."

None of my cars understand my southern twang accent. But my Ford Pickup does......go figure.
That's normal, although that picture makes it look terrible. I thinks it's supposed to be some sort of light highlight. At any rate, it doesn't look bad in person, at least mine doesn't.

Mine looks in person just like this picture. I've actually had a couple of people mention it.
Looking at the photo posted, the rising moon/spotlight effect looks intentional. The C7 logo appears to be relatively high resolution but the background area looks all crude and pixelated. Why someone at Chevy thought this would be cool is beyond me. But hey, its GM. They're infamous for talking themselves into many dubious features.
It seriously looks like something is wrong with the screen. Why are people accepting this as ok?!
Probably because the more important complaints about other "aspects" (faults, missing features, non-intuitive interface) of the MyLink Infotainment/Nav System have been dismissed by GM Customer Service with the now-standard corporate mantra,
"It's working as designed!"
Given that, it's easy to assume that the engineers actually wanted it to look that bad!
