Why hold the memory button when all you do is press start button. No need to hold any thing check setting on at ign should be checked the other is off. I never ever hold the buttons.

I’ll try one more time then as I said to each his own!
With the C6 you got in, pushed the button once and the seat, steering wheel mirrors went to that button setting.
With the C7, when I received in early October 2013 it was not that way with a standard shift if you could not push in the clutch and start first. It also had a silly option of returning the seat when the door opened!
I learned than that the fastest way to get the car started was to hold the memory seat button in with my right and “multitasking” grab the belt buckle with my right hand and buckle it. By the time the seat and steeling wheel are set, I’m buckled and can push the clutch and start button and am on my way. You may “never ever hold a button in,” that is your prerogative. However if I use my right hand to push the start button, since the clutch is not in I then have to use the same hand to grab the seat belt. That is more difficult than holding the button with my left hand, which at the time is not occupied doing anything!
Perhaps I’m now set in my ways but the cars starts quickly.
Enough said!

You're missing the point. There is a firmware flash you can have done UNDER WARRANTY, that will change how the seat memories work. You will no longer have to do what you're doing.

Unless you don't want to change the behavior so as to make it a LOT more convenient.......

Ken, I'm happy to do what I am doing and using both my left hand and right hand at the same time! Perhaps I am just now set in my ways but it works. Been following this software change from the beginning. Not convinced it will be as fast as what I'm doing now. Once you get used to holding the button in with a hand that is doing nothing else, it's easy! Been doing that now for almost a year! As I said to each his own.

Fair enough

(FWIW, had mine done and like it much better...)

You have the correct setting, and you would not have the "At Ignition On" option without the update.
It does work with the other remote! I will switch remotes with her and work on mine another time.

Parking Brake was always engaged. Can't get the far left Homelink button to save anything now, the other 2 work perfectly. But that's another thread.

On my 2000 C5.....pull out the key and the seat moved back and steering wheel moved up.

Reinsert the key and the opposite happened. Why can't the C7 do the same?
