Anyone else experience this? I have only the right mirror tilting down when in reverse but after backing up about 25' the mirror goes back to its regular position even though I'm still in reverse and backing up. Shouldn't it stay tilted down until I shift out of reverse? I have a M7.

Yes, it does this. Some kind of time out "feature".
I didn't know it behaves this way. Do you use both of your memory positions? Maybe you can program one of them with the mirror positioned the way you want it.
Or just back up a lot faster. (Assuming it's a time out, not based on distance.)
So many issues with my mirror tilt that I've stopped using it. Too bad. I have a very steep and curved driveway that I back down and could sure use it.

I generally don't like to use the tilt. I use the left mirror and as long as the space behind me does not narrow I really don't need the right mirror. I back into my garage know how to judge the left side and the right side is not a factor as an example.
BUT I leave the mirror control in the right side position and occasionally tilt the mirror manually. Leave it that way and when I start it up it returns to the "full" position.......problem solved.
