Saturday I had a 3 man crew wash my car here at the house. This was just a wash & vacuum job, and not a full detail. They did a great job, however when I went to put my C7 back in the garage, I noticed that someone had "monkeyed" with the radio.
I normally listen to XM Radio and my "home page" is the screen that shows that I'm on Channel 6 and also shows the name of the song, the artist & year. At the bottom it shows what my five favorite channels are.
They didn't have the fob in their possession while they worked as I didn't want anyone starting the engine or playing the radio.
My problem is: I can't restore the original screen. I've tried everything to restore it, but to no avail. Is there some way to reboot it and start over?
It's actually a "audio" button on the touch screen.
Hope it works!
I've tried about everything and still haven't resolved this issue. The audio icon only takes one into various settings for tone, balance, etc.
Right now, I have the page I want but there are three rows of channel boxes starting at the bottom and going up. On top of that is a browse, fast back, pause & fast forward icon. If I could just remove all of these, I'd be back in business.
Maybe the solution is to order a Z06 and start over!

If you are seeing settings for tone and balance, you are in the audio menu. Do you have an exit button or a blue arrow at the top left?
This video will help illustrate using the "Radio" hard key to navigate between the available radio modes (AM/FM/XM). It will also illustrate the use of the menu button and back button to navigate and exit from the radio menu structure.
This video will illustrate navigating the favorites menu using screen gestures to swipe the menu up, scroll through the menu pages or bring all current menu pages on to and off of the screen with a swipe up or down.
This video will show interaction with menu functions and various methods of exiting the menu and favorites by using both the back button hard key and the exit button on the screen.
Put your finger at the top of the three rows of favorites and swipe down. This should minimize the favorites to one row. You have to get your finger at just the right spot. Try it a few times, on the line, slightly above the line, slightly below the line. Press and then slide your finger down.

I have the opposite problem - I (presume I must have) hit a magic spot on the screen, and the favorites row disappeared...it does not appear unless I press menu, then the double up arrow...but it won't stay visible, regardless of the display (x number of) favorites setting. have a pointer for fixing that?
update: Ah... I figured it out.
Takes more pressure than my iPad, have to keep in contact with the screen longer, and have to drag slower.

The favorites menu can be raised any time by pressing your finger at the bottom of the screen and swiping up. They of course, can also be raised by pressing the chevron (up arrow) from any screen where it is shown.
Once you swipe the memory icons up from the bottom they will remain visible (according to your settings, 5, 10, 15, etc.) on all audio and media screens. They will be hidden on the navigation screen but can be raised in the same method.
If while visible, you change audio modes, they will remain. If you change to navigation, they will be hidden by the navigation menu bar (but you can swipe up on the menu bar and they will appear again).
If you swipe them down from an audio screen to hide them, you will need to swipe them up again to get them anchored to the screen the first time.

thanks. they are back now.
Fingers must be adjusted to the higher sensitivity of my iPad....
I was swiping too fast and not using enough pressure, so nothing was happening.
Thanks to all who responded. The video's look as though they might solve my problem, but it's just too hot to fool around with this in garage right now.
3rd of October and South Florida still feels like a Panamanian rain forest.
HOT & HUMID
I used to have trouble swiping around to see my different favorites. Now I just use the Favorites +/- on the steering wheel. That way I can keep the 5 most favorite on the screen and use the +/- paddles to get to the others.

Bingo! One good swipe and it's back to where I normally have it.
Thanks to everyone who dropped in with suggestions. I particularly liked the videos.
given the range of the fob, yes, they could have powered on the radio.
local dealer here had an issue with that a couple weeks ago. fobs are in a lockbox in a locked cabinet inside the showroom; C7 parked just outside the showroom. salesmanager arrived one mornng to find a drunk passed out in the drivers seat w/ the radio blaring....about 50' from the lockbox to the car.
Personally, I have shut mine down, got out, powered the radio back on for the benefit of my passenger, then walked into a building, fob in hand, and the radio continued playing.
About 90 ft and a double glass door.
