FM radio issue

FM radio issue

This past weekend while taking a drive with my son, we were listening to the local FM radio. The radio would tune into an analog FM station, but then try and locate a digital signal. At times it would toggle between Analog and Digital so much the radio became unbearable to listen to. Any ideas on how to prevent this in the future?
